Day 1: Arrive & Jewel Changi Airport
Jewel Changi: Don't Rush to the Hotel
Your kids' first Singapore memory starts at the airport. Jewel Changi has the world's largest indoor waterfall, the 40m Rain Vortex, free to see from the ground floor. The Canopy Park (Level 5) has bouncing nets, walking nets, hedge maze, and mirror maze. Canopy Park S$16 adults, S$12 child, book at the info desk. Allow 2 hours to explore Jewel before heading to your hotel.
Hotel + Dinner Near Hotel

Day 2: Gardens by the Bay & Marina Bay
Gardens by the Bay: Cloud Forest
Kids 3+ will be awestruck by the Cloud Forest's indoor waterfall and suspended walkways. The "Lost World" themed exhibition gives it a fantasy adventure feel. Buy the combo (Cloud Forest + Flower Dome, S$53 adult, S$40 child 3–12). Cloud Forest first, it's cooler and more exciting. Flower Dome after. Budget 2.5 hours.
Lunch at Satay by the Bay
The open-air hawker centre inside Gardens by the Bay. Satay (S$0.80 each), laksa, chicken rice, iced sugarcane juice. Kids love the variety. Outdoor with a bay view. Budget S$15–20 per family.
Children's Garden (Free)
The Children's Garden inside Gardens by the Bay is free and has water play areas, a treehouse, and interactive planting activities. Perfect for 2–10 year olds to burn off energy. Bring a change of clothes, they WILL get wet.
Merlion Park + Waterfront Walk
Short walk to the Merlion for photos. The waterfront between the Merlion and ArtScience Museum is perfect for kids, wide, flat promenades, great views. Watch the boats on the Singapore River.
Supertree Grove: Garden Rhapsody
The Supertrees light up in a 10-minute synchronised music and light show (free, 7:45pm and 8:45pm). Kids go silent watching it, genuinely magical. Then home to bed. Day 3 needs an early start.
Day 3: Universal Studios Singapore (Full Day)
Universal Studios Singapore: Open 10am
Arrive before 10am (gates open 9:30 for pre-checkin). Book online: S$88 adult, S$68 child (4–12), S$68 senior, under 4 free. Height restrictions: Battlestar Galactica needs 125cm (thrill riders), Revenge of the Mummy 122cm, Transformers 107cm. Smaller kids: Minion Park and Far Far Away are perfect. Strategy: Go Battlestar Galactica first (longest queues), then Jurassic World (water, do early so you dry off), then Transformers, then Minion Park.
Lunch Inside USS
Food inside USS is overpriced (S$18–25 per meal). But exiting and re-entering varies by day, check USS policy. Mel's Drive-In (Sci-Fi City) and KT's Grill (Jurassic Park) are the best options inside. Bring snacks to manage costs.
Afternoon: Continue Rides
By 2pm queues have shortened. Use this time for rides you missed, or take a second run on favourites. The Sesame Street area and Madagascar sections are great for little ones. The Waterworld stunt show is at 3pm, don't miss it (extreme seats get very wet).
Dinner at Resorts World
Exit USS and eat at the Resorts World food court (S$8–14 per meal). Much better value. Then decide: beach? Wings of Time? Or early night for tired kids. Sentosa Express to HarbourFront MRT, then to your hotel.
Day 4: Singapore Zoo & River Wonders
Singapore Zoo (Opens 8:30am)
Go early, cooler, animals more active. Breakfast with the orangutans is a ticketed experience (S$35 on top of entry) and memorable, but book months in advance. Standard zoo entry: S$49 adult, S$34 child (3–12), under 3 free. Must-see with kids: Fragile Forest (butterflies, free-flying birds, lemurs walking past you), Treetops Trail, and the keeper feeding shows (schedule at entrance). Budget 3 hours.
Lunch at Ah Meng Restaurant (Zoo)
The zoo's restaurant is surrounded by animals, hornbills land on tables. S$18–25 per adult for a set lunch. Or bring your own food, the zoo allows picnics at designated spots.
River Wonders: Pandas!
A 5-minute walk from the zoo. Kids love the giant pandas and the boat ride through the Amazon flood forest. S$42 adult, S$30 child. Jia Jia and Le Le are in the Yangtze River Zone. The manatee viewing window and giant otters are crowd favourites.
Night Safari (Optional: Older Kids 5+)
Great for children who can stay up and enjoy night adventure. S$55 adult, S$38 child. The tram is enclosed and family-friendly. The Creatures of the Night show is engaging for kids 5+. Younger children may find the darkness scary. Finish by 10pm, Grab back to hotel.
Day 5: Adventure Cove Waterpark & Sentosa Beach
Adventure Cove Waterpark
S$42 adult, S$32 child. The highlight: Rainbow Reef, a lazy river that floats you over a 14,000-fish coral reef tank. Completely unique. Ray Bay lets you touch and feed rays. High slides for older kids. The splash zones near the wave pool are perfect for toddlers. Sunscreen essential. Lockers S$10.
Palawan or Siloso Beach
Dry off and head to the beach. Palawan Beach has a gentle lagoon perfect for younger kids, calm, shallow, and sandy. Rent beach chairs (S$5 each). Buy a fresh coconut (S$3–5). The suspension bridge to Palawan Kidz City (free play area for young children) is worth crossing just for the view.
Wings of Time
Kids adore this outdoor light, water, and fire show (S$18 adult, S$13 child). Book online. 20 minutes of lasers, fire jets, and video projection over the ocean. Seats fill fast, arrive 30 minutes early.
Day 6: Culture Day: Ethnic Neighbourhoods
Chinatown: Temples, Markets & Dim Sum
Buddha Tooth Relic Temple (kids love the gold Buddha and the drums). Explore Chinatown Street Market, pick up souvenirs (lion head toys, chopstick sets, silk items). Dim sum at a nearby restaurant for the kids (har gow, siu mai, char siu bao, S$15–20/family).
Little India: Colours & Sweets
Little India is a sensory explosion perfect for curious kids. The flower garland sellers, colourful temples, and spice shops are fascinating. Buy Indian sweets (gulab jamun, burfi) from the many confectionery shops, under RM3 for a bag. Visit the Indian Heritage Centre (S$6 adult, S$4 child, under 6 free), hands-on exhibits kids enjoy.
Clarke Quay Riverside Dinner
Riverside hawker food and family-friendly restaurants along the Singapore River. Clarke Quay has a huge variety. The quay is lit up at night and the river boats are interesting for kids.
